Physical Security Field Service Technician

This position reports to the Safety and Security Supervisor

JOB PURPOSE / SUMMARY :

Perform installations, service, programming and maintenance of safety and security related systems. The position also involves managing paperwork, communicating with school administration / contractors, and traveling to different school sites as needed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Installing and servicing of physical security systems / platforms, including CCTV, access control systems, intrusion detection, communications, and many other low voltage systems.
• Learning and contributing to technical and project teams.
• Diagnosing and troubleshooting system issues
• Working as a valued team member and as an individual to deliver quality results to our customers.
• Executing assigned projects and duties in a timely manner with quality results.
• Working with trades and subcontractors assigned to projects.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :

• High School Diploma or state issued equivalent
• Valid driver's license
• Knowledge and understanding of Network Infrastructure
• Ability to read and utilize wiring diagrams
• Knowledge of current building codes

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :

• 4 years experience with installation
• 4 years experience with Access Control / Video Surveillance Programing
• 4 years experience with Low Voltage Integration
• Preferred Certifications : , Industry-specific certifications and / or licenses, Win-Pak, Silent Knight, Genetec, Avigilon, AMAG, Honeywell and / or AXIS

Physical Exertion Requirements :

Medium work. Medium work involves lifting no more than 50 pounds at a time with frequent lifting or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 pounds.

Employment Terms :

• 240 day work calendar, 8 hour day, 40 hour workweek
• Annual Salary based on qualifications and years of experience
• Annual Salary Range : $56,640 - $76,119
